Farmer’s Protest 2.0: ‘Dilli Chalo’, Section 144 imposed in Delhi

Farmer’s Protest on ‘Dilli Chalo’

In the Farmer’s Protest between November 2020 and December 2021, Delhi’s Singhu Border was most affected. Singhu border connects Delhi to Haryana and has a direct route to reach Chandigarh. This time on 13 February, farmers are coming to Delhi once again. In such situations, Delhi Police has started making preparations. Police have done the barricading and put big sacks of sand. Apart from them, the police have installed a mic in the poles i.e. a public announcement system through which the police can deliver their views directly to the farmers.

Barbed wire has been ordered on a large scale and big containers so that if the farmers forcibly enter Delhi, they can be stopped. This is done so that the farmers are stopped from coming to Delhi because the Delhi Police has already made it clear that the farmers will not be allowed to come from the borders of Delhi or in the meantime, the Delhi Police personnel will be on the big scale in these borders. Apart from those who are soldiers of paramilitary forces, they have been posted.
